Exciting autumn holidays at Lake Achensee

The holiday season is still the most beautiful time! The Achensee offers many attractions for the whole family. Especially for children there are countless possibilities to discover new things and experience exciting experiences. Autumn brings pleasantly fresh temperatures and lets young and old breathe a sigh of relief on outdoor excursions. And if the little ones also want to go to the adventure playground in bad weather, they will be all the more delighted to enjoy the cosy and warm room afterwards. Here are some tips for having a good time with your loved ones.

Discovery tour for kids

Around the Achensee there are many different alpine pastures, inns, places to stop for refreshments – and lots of attractions for the little ones. The Alpengasthof Gernalm is just 5 kilometres away from Pertisau and offers the idyllic adventure playground “Gimp’l Park”. With a climbing tower, trampoline, cable car, water playground, sandpit, slackline, swings and a small children’s slide, it leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to the many modern playgrounds, there is also a game enclosure where deer and roe deer can be seen up close. Cows, calves and hares are also at home on the alp at the end of the Gerntal and look forward to a visit!

Animal pleasure

There is even more animal pleasure in the petting zoo of the Gramai Alm at an altitude of around 1200 metres. The goat Elvis and the pot-bellied pigs Julia and Uschi are the stars of the alpine pasture, but also dwarf rabbits and a family of ducks should not be missing from the repertoire and are waiting for a few treats from children’s hands. While the kids take care of the animals, the adults are provided with culinary specialities on the sun terrace. And all this without a guilty conscience: The children are always in sight. The adjacent modern Gramai adventure playground also offers plenty of free space to romp and play. Many other attractions are lined up here, including an exciting barefoot path and a cold Kneipp pool. For those who can’t get enough of the animal alpine world, there is the …

Family pasture day with the hen Hanna

… … closer: Here the kids experience very closely the story of the hen Hanna, who partout did not want to stay in the valley and against the will of her farmer makes her way to the idyllic alpine pasture to be with her friends cow Karoline and sheep Olli. The thrill of the exciting runaway tour is of course rewarded: delicious lunch and a magnificent mountain panorama await you on the alpine pasture! The tour always takes place on Thursdays, you can find more information here: FAMILY PASTURE DAY with HENNE HANNA – join us!

For adventure seekers and newcomers: Climbing & hiking at Lake Achensee

The Achensee also offers a wealth of activities for climbing enthusiasts: The BOULDER Hall in the Atoll Achensee offers a 180 square metre climbing area with a height of four metres and 1400 grips, putting beginners and professionals alike to the test. The Adventurepark Achensee in Achenkirch takes you even further up the mountain: in the forest climbing garden, courageous climbers of all ability levels can prove their courage and balance. The seven different routes at lofty heights between three and 15 metres require a head for heights! Swaying bridges, swaying nets and swinging tree trunks guarantee pure climbing fun. If you still haven’t had enough after such a tour, you can take part in the varied adventure program, which attracts with slacklines, archery, canyoning and the like.
