The crag Achenseehof in Achenkirch is the perfect beginner’s and practice area for climbing enthusiasts of all ages. The climbing area offers routes suitable for children, youngsters and beginners, and also some difficult routes. The crag is located directly at Lake Achensee near the Achenseehof tunnel and within a three-minute walk from the public parking lot. There is also a beach and a playground.
With climbing via ferratas becoming increasingly popular, the region has opened the “Felix and Charlotte family via ferrata” in 2019, providing climbing fun for beginners and families. From the top station of the Rofan cable car, walk past the Erfurter Hütte via a steep track and a meadow.The family via ferrata has mostly B and B/C stages – just right for beginners.
Abandoned on a raft, the goal of the outdoor escape game is to solve all the puzzles within an hour and navigate safely back to the mainland. In addition to this exciting team challenge, there are many other activities on offer, such as a forest high rope course, tandem flights, canyoning, archery and Onewheel – an electric all-terrain skateboard that transports visitors “back to the future”. There is just so much fun to be had at the Achensee Adventure Park!
Children aged 10 years and over and a minimum body height of 130 centimetres can fly like an eagle: The Airrofan Skyglider, located at the top station of the Rofan cable car, takes you from the Gschöllkopf (2,040m) 600 metres down into the depths at a speed of up to 80km/h. An experience that will get your adrenaline pumping – and is absolutely safe.
