In the summer of 2020, we are all looking forward to outdoor adventures and activities. Lake Achensee offers plenty of options to enjoy freedom and engage in water sports in and around the “Tirolean Sea”.
Sailors, surfers, kitesurfers – everyone moves along: At Lake Achensee, there is always a gentle breeze and sometimes strong winds blow. The light south wind in the morning and the strong north wind in the afternoon test your strength and coordination skills. The region provides the ideal infrastructure and water sports enthusiasts of all abilities can explore the lake to their hearts’ delight. Water sports schools and rental stations for water sports equipment in Tirol’s Sports and Vitality Park provide everything for action-packed fun on the water.
Monthly and seasonal tickets in the Achensee experience shop
Kitersurfers, windsurfers and sailors must buy a monthly or seasonal permit. Kitesurfers and windsurfers must buy a monthly or annual licence. By buying the licence, you are entitled to practice the water sport and you agree to the conditions of permission issued by the lake administration.
The region offers abundant opportunities for those who are looking for the opposite of fast-paced activities. Lake Achensee lies nestled between the Karwendel and Rofan mountains, the shoreline is almost entirely accessible and offers excellent views of what’s happening on the water. Well-developed paths entice visitors to take leisurely strolls or to walk around the lake.
