The free weekly hiking programme includes guided herb walks on Mondays, nature watch tours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and in addition the region offers ranger-guided tours to watch golden eagles.
Do you enjoy collecting herbs and are you interested in the region’s local herbs? Then you might want to join the guided herb walk (from 2 May to 27 June) in Pertisau. The guide will explain the various plants which can be found along the way, and there will also be tasty samples for the participants.
The Nature Park Karwendel rangers take you on a nature watch tour where you will discover the alpine fauna and flora. Equipped with Swarovski binoculars visitors can watch chamois and ibex up close.
A special highlight is the ranger-guided tour to watch golden eagles in the Nature Park Karwendel. Austria’s largest nature park has the highest population of golden eagles in the entire Alps. Rangers take the visitors to a habitat where golden eagles can be watched.
