Nestled between the mountains and the lake, numerous idyllic winter hikes entice to leisurely strolls in the wonderful winter scenery. Your companions: forest animals, cross-country skiers and outdoor lovers enjoying the snow-muffled silence.
From Achenkirch into the Unterautal – From the car park of the Christlum lifts, follow the remote hiking trail along a stream bed into the Achenkirch mountainscape. If you’re lucky, you may spot a squirrel or other forest animals between the trees.
From Pertisau into the Falzthurntal – Starting at the Langlaufstüberl in Pertisau (car park Karwendel valleys), winter hiking enthusiasts will find a beautiful 7 km long trail to the Gramaialm mountain hut. The tour can be cut short at the Falzthurn mountain hut. During the tour the view goes to the region’s highest mountain, the Sonnjoch (2457 metres).
From Pertisau into the Gerntal – From the Langlaufstüberl in Pertisau (car park Karwendel valleys) follow the winter hiking trail to the mountain huts Pletzachalm and Gernalm. The tour leads through the forest into the valley, surrounded by views of the Feilkopf and Mondscheinspitze. Alternatively, take the return route via Seebergsteig.
From Pertisau into the Tristenautal – The 9 km long loop trail starts at the Langlaufstüberl in Pertisau and leads along the greens of the golf course (open throughout the summer months) into the remote Tristenau. The trail ends at the valley station of the Karwendel cable car.
Village hike in Steinberg – Leisurely stroll through the remote village of Steinberg am Rofan, affectionately called “the most beautiful end of the world” by the locals.
